Pécs is one of the highlights of Hungary. The city lies in a long valley, protected by the Mecsek hills. The Pannon-Celtic founders called it Sopianae and was one of the administrative centers of the province of Pannonia. It was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2000. In 2010 Pécs was the European Capital of Culture. Blessed with a mild climate, it has an illustrious past, superb museums, some of the finest Turkish monuments in the country and good wines. Probably the most interesting museum is the Zsolnay Museum, where you can see some masterpieces of the world renowned Zsolnay Manufactory (Hungarian manufacturer of porcelain, tiles, and stoneware). But Pécs is of course much more than visiting museums. After a Pécs City Tour you will agree with me!
This is just an overview, I plan and implement every tour based on individual needs and requests.
